My life is vary isolated from world news. In fact, my main news source is my Facebook feed. That's not something I'm necessarily proud of, as one's Facebook feed tends to be an extremely biased news source that can only present the world as your friends choose to share it. It lets a lot fall through the cracks and rarely presents the full picture.
Facebook is where I first heard about the escalation in the fighting.
It stayed on my mind. It entered the Google search bar.
The bubble I live in was visibly torn.
Not because I know anyone in Syria. I don't.
But that doesn't mean I don't find myself thinking about what's going on.
